Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 22 Sept. 1910. Monona column.

Florence Anna Thompson, born June 29th, 1902, in Monona, died Sept. 6th, 1910, aged eight years, two months and eight days, from pneumonia, after a short illness, although she had suffered from an affliction of the nerves for some time. She was the daughter of Larry and Mamie Tompson, well known and respected people in the district of Monona. After singing a well known children's hymn, and prayer at home, the funeral procession started for the Congregational church in Monona, where the service was conducted by the Rev. W. E. King.
