Guttenberg Press..Jan. 29, 1969 Funeral services were held January 29, 1969 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Garber for Mrs. Rosa Rosella Hansel, 95 who died Jan. 26, at her home in Garber.
Music for the services was provied by Mrs. Lyle Morley, soloist, and Barbara Porter, great grand-daugher of Mrs. Hansel. Pallbearers were Arthur Jennings, Anton Smith, Oscar Cole and Eugene Hansel.
Mrs. Hansel was born on a farm near Garber November 25, 1873, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Borrett.
On March 29, 1899 she was married to Lyman Hansel and the couple lived on a farm until the death of Mr. Hansel on Nov. 12, 1949. She then moved to a home in Garber where she lived until the time of her death.
In poor health for the past two and one half years, Mrs. Hansel had been bedfast for two years prior to her death.
Surviving Mrs. Hansel are three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Morley and Agnes Hansel of Garber, and Mrs. Milton Brockmeyer of Colesburg and one son Arthur Hansel of Garber. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hansel was the last memeber of her immediate family of eight and was preceded in death by her older brother W. J. Borrett, by eleven days.
