Townsend, M. Jerome died 1912

Mr. Jerome Townsend, formerly of Strawberry Point, died Monday at the County Home of cancer of the stomach. He was about 72 years of age. He had been at the home about four weeks. On Wednesday his remains were taken to Strawberry Point for funeral services and burial.

Note: His death certificate names him as M.J. Townsend, age 74y, DOB unkn., DOD 1/15/1912, parents unkn. Other records (marriage & census) indicate he was the father of Charles W. Townsend whose wife Eva died in 1910 (refer to her obit). Both Jerome and Eva are buried in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
