DIED - At her home on Pleasant Ridge, Monday, March 17th, 1884, Miss Prudence Kinsley, aged 17 years and nine months.

Last fall the deceased accidently cut her foot, and later injured the foot and re-opened the cut which had not completely healed. About two weeks ago she was taken sick with every symptom of pneumonia; this was followed last week by a fever, septicemia so called by the doctors (blood poison) the immediate cause of her death.

The best medical skill attended her during her sickness, but all efforts to save her life were baffled by the firm and unrelenting hold obtained by the dreaded disease.

Miss Prudence was the pride of the family circle, just blooming into womanhood, with the brightest prospects for an enjoyable career in this world of trouble.

The funeral occurred on Tuesday, attended by a large concourse of sympathising friends of the family, and of this beloved one, whose remains now rest in the beautiful cemetery on the very brow of Pleasant Ridge.

Note: Burial is in Council Hill cemetery
