Isabelle Kincaid, daughter of Almerian and Lucy Kincaid, was born in Mount Pleasant, Henry County, Iowa, Dec. 9th, 1848. She came to Strawberry Point in her girlhood days.
She was united in marriage to Whitman Dalton Nov. 27th, 1867. For a number of years they resided at Strawberry Point, then they moved to Bedford, Iowa, where they lived for several years, returning to Strawberry Point Sept. 23rd, 1886, where she has since resided.
She bore her sufferings with great patience and after a brief illness she peacefully passed away Sept. 28th, 1914.
To this union two children were born, one daughter dying in infancy and one son, Fred K., who, with her husband, mourn her departure, besides one sister in Hasting, Nebr., three brothers in California. One sister and three brothers preceded her.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist church, conducted by W. R. Bailey. The remains were laid to rest in our beautiful cemetery.
