Drowning at Monona.
Postville Review.—A sad accident occurred at Monona yesterday afternoon by which a lad named Larry Griffin, about nine years of age, lost his life. He in company with several other boys were wading in Wellman’s pond, when Larry ventured in beyond his depth and sank. His companions being unable to swim could not rescue him, and when help arrived Larry had gone down to rise no more.
