William J. Opperman was born at Welcome, Minn., March 16, 1896, and died at San Antonio, Texas, April 11, 1914, where he had gone with his father about nine weeks ago, in the hopes of benefitting his health. The cause of death was tuberculosis. He leaves to mourn his loss besides his father, three brothers, Henry, Minard and Edward, and one sister, Frances, his mother having preceded him in death nine years ago. The remains were brought here Tuesday morning and the funeral was held at the German Lutheran church, of which he was a member, in the afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Graf. Interment took place in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
