Death of Phineas P. Olmsted-
Monona Leader—Yesterday morning Mr. Olmsted arose from his bed feeling as well as usual, He went out into the pasture to drive up the cows and view the ravages of the storm, and being gone an unusual length of time, Mrs. Olmsted sent one of the children to the field to call him. He was found lying on the ground dead, face down. Dr. Brownson was called and an examination proved that he had died in an epileptic fit, to which he has been subject for many years. Phineas Page Olmsted was born in Monona, at the Olmsted homested, north of town, October 23, 1854; his age was therefore- 47 years, 7 months and 24 days.

Transcriber's Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in the Monona Cemetery but that he died July 16, 1902 (which doesn't agree with the above).
