Wanda M. Eggen

Wanda Mae Eggen, 96, of Stonehill Care Center, formerly of 232 East 26th St., died Friday, April 1, 2005, at the care center.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Siegert-Casper Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., where friends may call after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens, south of Dubuque.

She was born on Sept. 14, 1908, in Clayton, Iowa, daughter of Freeman and Pauline (Pesch) Jacobs.

She married Ralph E. Eggen in 1936, in McGregor, Iowa; he died on Aug. 17, 2000.

Surviving are a son, Bruce M. (Rita) Eggen, of Arlington, Va.; a brother, Charles Jacobs, of South Dakota; and a sister, Edna Jacobs, of Clinton, Iowa.

She also was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Clara Hoenig, June Wolter and Pearl Nelson.

A Wanda Eggen Memorial Fund has been established.
