Elet, Andrew 1881-1899

DIED. Andrew Elet, a half-brother to Fred Elet, near Watson, Iowa. Mr. Elet was born the first day of May, 1881, in Russian Poland, Germany.

May 2nd, last Spring, as an emigrant, he landed in the City of New York. As his money was short, he stayed in the State of New York and saved some money to further his journey.

September 2nd he came to Watson, Iowa, and worked out, one month for Mr. John Koch at Watson, part of one month for his step-brother and two months for Mr. A. Lange near Froelich.

On Wednesday, Dec. 20, he took sick, next day Mr. Lange took him over to Mr. Fred Elet, he grew worse and on Sunday evening at 10 o'clock he died his age 19 years, 7 months and 20 days.

Mr. Fred Elet, who lives near Watson,, one sister in California and the rest in the old county.

The remains were buried in Watson Cemetery, Rev. Wm. Pfefferkorn officiating.
