Grandma Krueger
Henrietta Hintz was born April 4, 1830, in Germany. She was married in her own country to Mr. Krueger, and came with the family to this country in 1862, first locating in Milwaukee, residing there three years, after which they came to Allamakee county, locating on a farm about two miles north of Watson, where she lived continuously until the fall of 1911, when after the death of her son Gustav she moved to Watson, where she passed away July 31st, at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 27 days.

She leaves to mourn her departure three sons and four daughters - Herman residing at Brookings, S. Dak.; Frank and Will at Oto, Ia.; also Mr. Timmerman at Oto; Mrs. Lydia Muth at Rockwell; Mrs. R.W. Fett and Lucy Krueger at Watson.

Funeral services were held at the Watson M.E. Church, Sunday, Aug. 4, at 10:00 a.m., conducted by the pastor, Rev. A.W. Ganger, burial in the Trappe cemetery. An unusually large assembly of relatives, neighbors and friends were present to pay their last tribute of respect to this good woman. Grandma Krueger was among the oldest and most highly respected residents of the county.

-Oto, Iowa is located in Woodbury county
-The 1925 Iowa State census enumerates Lucy Krueger (age 62, b. Milwaukee,, WI) and her sister Amelia Harderson / Henderson (age 71, b. Germany) living together in Oto, IA. Their parents are Chas. & Henrietta (Hintz) Krueger.
-Burial is in Council Hill cemetery, which may have been known to some as the Trappe cemetery at the time of her death. The Council Hill cemetery is located just south of the Allamakee co. border in Clayton county, not far from Watson.
