Mrs. Elizabeth Tait was born in Linkonshire, England, and in 1838 came to this country and spent the earlier part of her life in the state of Wisconsin. For the last four years she lived in the village of Giard, where she died Jan. 16, 1914, at the age of 76 years, eight months and twenty-one days. She is survived by one brother, Wm. Grey, of Peabody, Kans.; one sister, Mrs. Wayne Hazen, of Rippon, Wis.; one son, James Spencer, of this place, and twelve grandchildren. The funeral services were held Monday at the Spencer home. Interment in Giard cemetery.
