Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 03 Dec. 1908. Farmersburg column.

Peter Bartells died at the home of his step-son, Chas. Hinsch, Jr.. Tuesday morning, Nov. 24th, aged 85 years, 6 months and 27 days. He came from Hamburg to this country in 18__, settling in Farmersburg, where he has since resided. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church Thursday afternoon at one o'clock, conducted by Rev. F. Gadow. Burial in the Farmersburg cemetery.
