Frank Smock, aged about twenty-one years, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Smock, died at the hospital at Iowa City last Saturday and was brought home and buried in the Brookshier cemetery Tuesday. Frank had been sick most of the summer and had been confined to his bed for the past three or four months and as a last resort was sent to Iowa City and placed in a hospital for treatment, but he was in such a weakened condition that he died before he had been there long enough to get any benefit. Frank was well liked by all who knew him and he leaves a father, mother, and several brothers and sisters and a large number of friends to mourn his untimely death. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved family.
