Old Veteran Passes Away - One of Ardmore's Pioneer Citizens Died Early This Morning
James Ousley, one of Ardmore's pioneer citizens, passed away early this morning after a lingering illness. Mr. Ousley was 69 years of age and for the past 23 years has been a resident of this city.
He was a veteran of the Civil War in the Union army and was always active in the affairs of Bradford post G.A.R., of which he was a member.
The funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ this afternoon under the auspices of the G.A.R., with interment in Rose Hill cemetery. With the death of Mr. Ousley there only remain a few men who wore the blue in this city, less than one dozen, who, like their comrade are awaiting taps.
