The remains of Mrs. Fred Gossman, of Communia, were brought here for interment, Wednesday. Funeral services were held from St. Paul's church at one o'clock, Rev. Braun officiating. Interment was made in the new cemetery. Caroline Gossman, nee Bothmer, was born in Clayton, March 10th, 1865, and died at her home near Communia Sunday morning, July 5th. She was united in marriage with Fred Gossman and to them were born seven children, three dying in infancy. The surviving children are Verni, Harley, Raymond and Lester, who, with her husband, are left to mourn her departure. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Henry Bothmer, Sr., of Clayton; two brothers, Henry and Christ Bothmer, also of Clayton; four sisters, Mrs. Mike Seipel, of Dubuque, Mrs. Julius Ponsar, of Lewiston, Mich., Mrs. Chas Hinsch, of Farmersburg, and Mrs. Chas. Dettmann, of Garnavillo township.
