MRS. GEO. KUEMPEL IS LAID TO REST SATURDAY
_______Relatives from this city were called to Charles City Saturday to attend the funeral of Mrs. George Kuempel, 64, who died at her home there last Thursday evening. Her husband is a brother to Ed. Kuempel, of this city.
Mrs. Kuempel, nee Nellie Holbert [Hulbert], was born at Clayton, Iowa. When about 25 years old she was united in marriage to George Kuempel to which union there were born two children, Val and Mae. In 1896 the family moved to Charles City where Mr. Kuempel has been employed since as foreman of the Fisher-Stevens furniture factory. Besides her husband and two children, Mrs. Kuempel is survived by one brother, whose home is at Elkader. There are also three grand-children.
Relatives who attended her funeral from Guttenberg were: Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Kuempel, Reuben Kuempel and family and J. T. Kuempel.
