GUTTENBERG, Iowa - Thomas J. Pelzer, 49, of Guttenberg, died Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at the Guttenberg Care Center.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guttenberg, with burial in the Guttenberg City Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home & Cremation Se- rvices, Guttenberg.

He was born on Oct. 19, 1952, in Dubuque, son of Clement "Bud" Pelzer and Helen (Dullea) Pelzer.

He graduated from Guttenberg High School in 1970, and from Buena Vista College in 1974. He worked for the State of Iowa First Judicial District as a parole and probation officer in Dubuque for 26 years. He was a member of the Mid-West Gang Investigation Association and National Major Gang Taskforce. He enjoyed softball, golf and fishing. He will be missed.

Surviving are many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clement "Bud" and Helen Pelzer.
