Tuesday morning at 4:10 the angel of death summoned into life eternal Henry Possehl, after an extended illness of over three months. Deceased was born Oct. 14th, 1839, in Amt Neustadt, Inhovisch, Mecklenburg Schwerin. In 1864 he was united in marriage with Maria Schave and after residing in their native country for eight years emigrated to America. They located on a farm near Elkport, remaining there for three years, and since that time they have been living in this vicinity. To this union eight children were born, but only four survive him: Fritz, Mrs. Wm. Huebner, Mrs. Herman Preuss and John, who remains at home. Besides his wife and children there remain to mourn his departure five sisters and one brother, who, with the exception of a brother, Christ Possehl, of Communia, and a sister, Mrs. Henry Frank, of Read, are residing in Ohio. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from St. Paul's church, Rev. Braun officiating. Interment in the new cemetery.
