Mrs. Sophia Benschneider, a sister of Henry Meder, of Mederville, died Tuesday evening at the home of her sister, Mrs. Louis Schroeder, at La Crosse, Wis. Her remains were brought to Elkader last evening. A short service was held this morning at the home of J. E. Webb and the departed taken to Mederville, where the funeral was held this afternoon.
