Ernest G. Winch, 86, of Garber, died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, in University Hospitals, Iowa City, after a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, St. John's Congregational Church, Garber, with Rusty Phillips officiating. Interment: Guttenberg City Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Guttenberg.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice; two daughters, Arliss Cook of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Renae Kraus of Guttenberg; two sons, Ernest L. of Asbury and Larry of Guttenberg; a sister, Hattie Clefisch of Guttenberg; and a brother, Vallie of Dickinson, N.D.
