Marilyn Yvonne (Jordahl) Schaefer, 72, of Guttenberg, died Saturday, March 7, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, following a short illness. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Guttenberg, with the Rev. Harold McMillin officiating. Interment: Guttenberg City Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include her mother, Irene Jordahl of Swea City; a daughter, Lynn Schmitt of Guttenberg,; two sons, Don Schaefer and Mike Schaefer, both of Guttenberg; and four sisters, Marcey Seymour of Victorville, Calif., Helen Hodson of Marshalltown, Mary Tesch of Blue Earth, Minn., and Debbie Harbour of Shelby.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the family of Marilyn Schaefer.
