Julius Hauschen, 91, of Elkport, Iowa died on Sunday afternoon, June 5, 2011 at the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home in Strawberry Point.

There will be a private service at a later date. Inurnment: Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Elkport, Iowa. Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Arlington (Iowa) is in charge of arrangements (& Obituary). Online obituary at www.jamisonschmitzfuneralhome.com

Julius Hauschen was born on March 27, 1920 at Elkport, Iowa the son of Ernest & Elsie (Bahr) Hauschen.

Julius and his mother, Elsie, lived at Elkport for many years. Julius worked as a laborer and carpenter. He had been a resident of the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home since January of 1997. Julius was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

Julius is survived by his Cousins: Walt (Jane) Saur of Oelwein, Jon Wittman of Marshalltown & Lee Wittman of Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother: Junior Bernard Hauschen.
