Grace Lucille Drenkhahn,93, formerly of Guttenberg, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, in The Meth-Wick Community, Cedar Rapids, after a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, St. John's Lutheran Church, Guttenberg, by the Rev. Harold McMillin. Burial: Guttenberg City Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Survivors include a son, James of Hiawatha; a daughter, Joan (Lyle) Hanson of Midland, Mich.; five grandchildren and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; and a grandson, Kenneth Drenkhahn.Born Oct. 14, 1906, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Agnes Bass Bacon, she was a home economist in the Cedar Rapids and Creston area for many years. On Oct. 12, 1957, she married Raymond Drenkhahn at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Marion.
