GUTTENBERG, Iowa — Dale Alan Pattison, age 58, of Guttenberg, IA, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at River Living Center after a brave battle with muscular dystrophy.
Dale was born March 21, 1960, in Guttenberg, Iowa, the son of Floyd Dean Pattison and Eloise (Moser) Lammers. He graduated from Guttenberg schools and later went on to earn a two-year degree in Agriculture from NICC. Dale loved to work on the family farm, before he went on to work in the maintenance department at Walmart for 17 years.
Dale could often be found looking downward at his Nook reading a wide variety of books that his sister-in-law Lynette would put on there for him, many of which he read twice. Dale was an avid Los Angeles Rams and Iowa Hawkeyes fan and enjoyed visiting with his family, nieces and nephews about sports. He thoroughly enjoyed any family time at their homes and visits from family to his home. Dale was also very proud to be the Godfather to his nephew Blake.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Eloise, and stepfather, Irvin Lammers, of Guttenberg; one sister, Lisa (Chuck) Kass, of Dyersville; two brothers, Lee (Sara) Pattison, of Guttenberg, and Mark (Lynette) Pattison, of Solon; nieces and nephews, Morgan (Nick) Miller, Brice Pattison, Brian (Amira) Kass, Brittney Kass, Blake Kass, Brody Kass, Nolan Pattison, and Delaney Pattison; great nephew, Ari Miller, and great nieces, Vivienne Miller and Colette (Coco) Miller; stepbrothers Rod (Meg) Lammers and Todd (Julie) Lammers; and many friends.
Dale is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Dean Pattison; two brothers, Bruce and James Pattison.
The family would like to thank the staff at The River Living Center for their excellent dedication and care to Dale.
Arrangements are being handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, 207 S. First St., Guttenberg, IA. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019, at The United Methodist Church, 200 S. First St., Guttenberg, Iowa, with a funeral service directly following at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Neil Hofer officiating. Interment will be at Guttenberg City Cemetery.
