Carol Martha Schlueter, age 73, of Millville, IA, died Friday, October 7, 2016, surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 2, 1942 in Millville, the daughter of Edwin and Eleanor (Brockman) Frommelt. Carol attended the Seeman County School, Guttenberg Elementary School and later St. Mary’s High School where she graduated with the class of 1960.

On April 27, 1963, Carol was united in marriage with Albert Schlueter at St Mary’s Church in Guttenberg, and the two were later blessed with seven children.

Making a home for her family was a full time job in itself, but Carol also managed to work as a care giver for the Guttenberg Care Center, Home Health Care and the Tower Living Center.

Carol was a life-long member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She sang in the church choir and was a member of the St. Anne’s society. Carol enjoyed crocheting, watching her children and grandchildren at various athletic events and was a very compassionate caregiver to others.

Carol will be forever loved and cherished by her husband of 53 years, Albert; children, Mark (Chris) Schlueter, Phil (Lisa) Schlueter, Dave (Karen) Schlueter, Paul (Libby) Schlueter, Lynn Schlueter, Chris Schlueter & Ann (Aaron) Moore; grandchildren, Kayla, Devin, Alex, Megan, Mariah, Zach, Sophia, Jenna, Nathan, Josie, Eva, Elana & Jake; two brothers, Clark & Terry Frommelt and many other relatives and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; son, Glenn in infancy and grandson, Eric Schlueter.
