MRS. LEO NIGG STRICKEN HERE TUESDAY NIGHT
Well Known Resident Passes After a Long Illness
RITES FRIDAYMrs. Leo Nigg, ill at her home for a long period of time, died Tuesday evening at 8:45 o'clock. Funeral services for Mrs. Nigg will be held this Friday morning from the Steger funeral home to St. Mary's church at 9:00 o'clock.
The services will be in charge of Rev. Louis Grunewald, pastor of St. Mary's and burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mrs. Helen J. Nigg was born March 19, 1899 in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fukey. On October 22, 1924, she was married to Leo Nigg at Berwyn, Illinois, and the couple had made their home here, operating the Nigg store.
The couple were the parents of five children, James, Mary, Ray, Doris and Harold, four of whom survive along with Mr. Nigg. Mrs. Nigg was preceded in death by one son, James.
Also surviving Mrs. Nigg are five brothers and sisters, Frank Fukey of Guttenberg, and Mrs. Ann Kucera, Mrs. Rose Meduna, Mrs. Marie Shoebothem and James Fukey, all of Chicago.
