Rites Set for Charles Patzner
Funeral services are to be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday for Charles A. Patzner, who died Monday, Oct. 25, 1971 at Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wis., where he had been a patient since Sept. 7. He was 69.
The Rev. L.J. Shekleton is to officiate at the rites, which will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Guttenberg. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mr. Patzner, who was a farmer all his life, was born January 22, 1902 at Potosi, Wis. His parents were August and Rose Patzner.
He married Hilda Althaus April 29, 1927 at Kieler, Wis. Mrs. Patzner survives, as do six children and 18 grandchildren. Children are LaVern of Prairie du Chien, Wis., DuWayne of Dubuque, Robert of Council Bluffs, Delos of Lanyon, Charles of Dubuque and Mrs. Donald R. (Virginia) Schmitt of Guttenberg.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus.
Pallbearers are Steven Patzner, Paul Patzner, Joseph Kapser, Andrew Elsinger, Sr., Eldon Saeugling and Frank Schoenauer.
McBride Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
