FELDER RITES HELD MONDAY
Lifelong Resident Taken By Death Last FridayFuneral services were held Monday morning from the McBride funeral home here to St. Mary's church for Albert J. Felder, 74, retired depot agent of the Milwaukee Railroad, who died last Friday afternoon at his home here. Mr. Felder had been working in his yard and the death occurred during the afternoon.
The Requiem High Mass was offered by Rev. Alfred J. Schmitz, pastor of St. Mary's church; and burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Pallbearers were Eldon Saeugling, Al. J. Lake, Albert Pink, Marvin Nieland, Harry Stoeffler and Eugene Powers.
The parish rosary was recited Saturday evening, while members of the Holy Name Society of the parish recited the rosary Sunday evening.
Mr. Felder was born March 10, 1892 in Guttenberg, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Felder. On July 15, 1913 he married Rose Miller in Guttenberg. They spent their entire married life in Guttenberg, where for nearly 50 years he was depot agent for the Milwaukee road. They were the parents of two sons and four daughters.
Surviving Mr. Felder are his wife, Rose; two sons, Raymond Felder of Oelwein and Lawrence Felder of Guttenberg; and four daughters, Mrs. Francis Wittenbaugh of Oelwein, Miss Florence Felder of Troy, Missouri; Mrs. LeRoy McCauley of Shullsburg, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Herb Troester of Uphamm, North Dakota.
Also surviving are three brothers, Clarence Felder of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; Sylvester Felder of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin; Joe Felder of Guttenberg and three sisters, Mrs. Lewis Carrier of Guttenberg; Mrs. Ben Markus of East Dubuque, Illinois and Mrs. Frank Augustine of Dubuque, Iowa, as well as 20 grandchildren.
A brother, Edward Felder, preceded him in death in 1955.
