Died, at his home in Elkport, Wednesday, April 6th, 1887, of quick consumption, Mr. H.L. Tolbert.
He was born at Beetown, Wis., Dec. 19th, 1856, moved to Elkport in 1882 and has been engaged in teaching the Elkport school, with great success until about a month previous to his death. He was confined to his bed about four weeks.
Mr. Tolbert was married to Clara Soyster, of Elkport, in September, 1884.
The funeral occurred Friday, April 8th. Rev. Lockwood conducted the ceremonies, and the remains were interred in the Mount Harmony cemetery. A large concourse of friends followed his remains to their last resting place.
He leaves a wife and one child, eight months old, to mourn the loss of a beloved father and husband. The entire community sympathises deeply with the bereaved family.
