Halvor Kjosa passed away at his home Saturday, Nov. 19th. Funeral services will be held at the Norway church Tuesday afternoon.

Halvor Kjosa was born June 21, 1847 at Opdal Numedal, Norway. He came to America in the year 1870.
On May 6, 1879, he was united in marriage to Oline Knudtson. He bought his father-in-law's farm in Wagner township where he has resided up to the time of his death.
To this union were born nine children, five boys and four girls, all of whom are living, namely: Tov of Forest City, Iowa; Otto of Farmersburg; Gerhard of Lily, S.D.; Theodore on the home place; Henry of St. Olaf; Ella, Mrs. Oliver Hofland of Reeder, N.D; Lillian, Mrs. Oliver Johnson, of St. Olaf; and Tillie and Mabel at home.
He had been in poor health for several years and passed away Nov. 19th, 1927, at the age of 80 years, four months and 28 days.
His wife preceded him in death on June 19th, 1909.
Besides the children, he leaves to mourn his death, one brother and one sister in Norway; seventeen grandchildren, one great-grandchild and other relatives and friends.
