Clayton County Register, Thur., 01 Dec. 1927.
Tollef Tollefson was born May 13, 1856 at the old Tollefson home in Wagner township. His parents were Tollik Tollefson Ulberg and his wife Bergit who were early settlers in Clayton county. He died Nov. 20, 1927, from dropsy caused by the heart. He did not suffer very much and his death was peaceful.
He received the Tollefson homestead for taking care of a crippled brother and his aged mother. He made his home on this farm until the last few weeks of his life when he, together with his sister and brother, moved to St. Olaf. They purchased the Henry Larson home last spring and moved to it in October. Here he died.
He was baptized and confirmed a Lutheran by and into the Norway congregation and has been a member of this congregation all his life.
His neighbors knew him as a kind, helpful, honorable man, willing to help in any need when he could.
He leaves to mourn his passing, twin sisters, Mrs. Juleous Peterson and Alice, his sister, Mrs. Hans Hanson, and his brother Gilbert, together with many friends.
