Clayton County Register, 09 June 1927.

A hush fell over our community, when on Tuesday evening it became known, that Mrs. John kill had passed away.

Louise M., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franz Lembke, was born January 12th, 1882, in Read township, Clayton county, Iowa.

April 8th, 1903, she was married to John F. Kill, at Elkader, Iowa. the couple moved on a farm, north of Elkader, where they remained for a number of years, then moving to Elkader, where Mr. Kill was in business.

Mrs. Kill had always enjoyed good health, until a few months ago, when she was taken sick with a complication of diseases. Everything possible was done to prolong life of the faithful wife and loving mother, but God in his providence had willed it otherwise. She was called to her reward on Tuesday, June 7th, 1927, at 6:15 o'clock in the evening, at the age of 45 years, four months and 25 days.

Her departure is mourned by the grief-stricken husband, one son, Ray, one daughter, Ruth, three brothers and three sisters:

Fred Lembke, of Elkader
John Lembke, of Giard, Iowa
George Lembke, of Read twp.
Mrs. William Lamker, of Monona, Iowa
Mrs. L. L. Hulverson, of Elkader
and Emma Lembke, of Minneapolis, Minn.

She was a faithful member of the "Frauen-Verein" ever willing to serve and will be missed in the meetings, and her seat will be empty in the church, where she was a regular attendant at the divine services.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at the late home, in the Evangelical church and interment was made in the East Side cemetery, Rev. C. H. Franke officiating.
