For many years Mr. Adam was successfully engaged in business on Depot street in this city. Mr. Adam was a man who stood for justice and righteousness at all times, and one of a pleasing personality, which won for him many friends during life. He was a good and true husband, father and friend. always ready with heart and hand to give assistance to the needy. He was a faithful member of the Catholic church. His death is deeply mourned by his widow, one son, John Adam, of Guttenberg; two sisters residing in Austria, and numerous other relatives and friends who will all sadly miss this good man. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic church in Guttenberg on Saturday morning, Rev. Joseph Dupont officiating. The body was laid to rest in Mt. Olivet cemetery. A large number of relatives and friends from far and near were in attendance at the funeral, which showed that deceased was held in high regard by all who knew him.
