Clayton County Register, Thur., 03 Mar. 1927. Strawberry Point column.

Last Friday evening our people were surprised when word passed from one to another that Mrs. Lutie Hughart*, aged 76 years, had passed away. Mrs. Hughart lived alone and had been in poor health for some time, but was able to be up nearly all the time. Friday evening Mrs. Otto Fuelner, a neighbor, went over to spend the evening and when she went in she found her dead, on the kitchen floor, in front of the cupboard with a glass in her hand. Mrs. Fuelner got another neighbor and called a doctor and the relatives. When Dr. Lo_ck arrived he thought Mrs. Hughart dropped dead that morning without a struggle. Funeral services were held at the home in the west part of town Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Hoffman, pastor of the M.E. church. Interment took place in the family lot of our local cemetery. Andalussia E. Truair, daughter of Loman and Lois Truair, was born near Crete, Ill., Feb. 6, 1851. Her parents moved to Iowa when she was four years of age and since that time she has resided near or in Strawberry Point. She was one of a family of ten children, eight girls and two boys, two sisters survive her, Mrs. Nettie Booth of Oxford, Mass., and Mrs. Ellen Bowers of this place. On Nov. 16, 1874, she was united in marriage to Francis Hughart who preceded her in death March 29, 1914. Mrs. Hughart had been a member of the Methodist church for the past 35 years. Besides her two sisters she leaves fourteen nephews, eight nieces and other relatives and a large circle of friends to mourn her death.

Note: gravestone spells surname as Huggard
