Died - At the residence of her mother, Mrs. J. Wilson, in Minneapolis, Minn., Aug. 21st, 1886, Mrs. Ella E., wife of John T. Dawson, of McGregor, aged 27 years, 1 month and 19 days.
The deceased was born in McGregor; here she grew up to young womanhood, and here she was united in holy wedlock, and with the exception of a short period residing at Atlantic, Iowa, and at Minneapolis, McGregor has been her life-home.
She was admired and loved for the noble qualities of womanhood, one with whom to be acquainted was to cherish and honor.
She has been ailing for some time, contracting a severe cold which finally culminated in other ailments, the dreaded and sure destroyer, consumption, obtained a permanent hold, and on the eve of her young and bright womanhood the silken cord of life is snapped asunder, and she is numbered among the blessed on the other shore.
The husband and two children, the mother, sister and brother, are surely sorrowfully bowed down in grief, and the sympathy of this community is with them.
Mrs. Wilson and the eldest child are at the home of Mr. Dawson. The remains reached here by Monday morning's train and the funeral was held from the residence on Ann street at 3 o'clock that day, Rev. Bissell officiating; buried in Oakland cemetery.
