Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 6 Nov. 1919.

Miss Sarah Dora Brockman died at the Lenth Hospital Sunday evening, November 2nd, after an illness of eighteen months, the last five months being spent in the hospital here, having reached the age of forty-seven years.

Deceased was born in Farmersburg township Nov. 6th, 1873, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christ Brockman and for the past nine years she has lived on the farm nine miles west of Elkader.

Her early death is mourned by her father, Christ Brockman, two brothers and one sister, Fred and Christ of National and Mrs. Ed. Reardon of Elkader. Her mother preceded her in death in 1907.

Short services were held at the home at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5th, followed by services in the church at Clayton Center where Rev. Athenstadt officiated. Burial was made in the Clayton Center cemetery.
