Caroline Sophia Groth was born Nov. 18, 1914, in Sommersdorf, Demin, Germany, and died on Saturday, June 21, after an extended illness.
In September, 1865, she was united in marriage to Karl Muller. In October, 1883, the family came to America coming to Monona, later moving to Howard county where they lived until their removal to Garnavillo nine years ago.
She is survived by her husband and nine children, Mrs. Julius Kurdelmeir, Freidrich Muller, Mrs. Caroline Wantke, Mrs. Augusta Fehlhafer, Ernst, Charles, William, Herman and Otto; one sister and one brother, All the children were in attendance at the funeral service which was held Monday at St. Paul's church, Rev. Braun officiating.
