Mrs. George Tujetsch passed away at her home in Elkader Monday evening, April 29, at about eleven o'clock. She had been a sufferer from a complication of diseases for some time and during the last two months she failed rapidly.
Margaret Eckley Tujetsch was born in Wurtemberg, Germany, June 25, 1850, and had reached the age of sixty-eight years, ten months and three days when death called.
In 1854 she came to America with her parents and on November 16, 1868, she was married to George Tujetsch at Guttenberg, and later they moved to a farm in Boardman township where her husband died Feb. 26, 1888.
In 1910 she moved to Elkader with her daughter Agnes to make a home, leaving her two sons, Martin and George, to care for the farm.
She leaves to mourn her departure three sons. Andrew, Los Angeles; George, Elkader; Martin, who is in the service and stationed at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Ind., and four daughters, Eva, Mrs. F. W. Bauer, of Elkader; Mary, Miles City, Mont.; Margaret, Mrs. Michael Lynch, Ismay, Mont.; and Agnes, at home. She is also survived by one brother, Martin Hartman of Dubuque, and two sisters, Rita Hartman of Dubuque and Mrs. J. H. Horsch of Guttenberg, and eight grandchildren.
