Elkader Register & Argus, 13 Nov. 1913. Strawberry Point column.
Little Erwin Michael Martin Huebsch, the beloved son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Huebsch, was called away by the Angel of Death Nov. 1, 1913, at about 7:50 o'clock. His death was due to lock-jaw. He was seemingly as well as could be until Friday noon when he complained of a headache and from that time on grew worse and after a few hours of terrible suffering death came as a sweet relief. The age of the deceased was eight years, seven months and fourteen days, he being born March 17, 1905. He is survived by his parents, five brothers and three sisters.
The funeral services were held at the Lutheran church, at St. Sebald. Rev. Henry Feuhr had charge of the funeral services. He was laid to rest in St. Sebald cemetery. Erwin was never very sick, but always a strong and healthy child. He was of a loving disposition, and was well liked by everyone and we all extend our many sympathies.
