Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 23 Oct. 1913. Elkport and Vicinity column.
Our community was greatly shocked Thursday morning by the sad news of the death of Mrs. Leo Flaherty (formerly Miss Nora Hannaman). She was sick but a very short time and her death was a surprise to her many friends. Mrs. Flaherty was a highly respected and greatly loved woman. She was kind, generous, and charitable and will be greatly missed by all. She leaves to mourn her husband and infant son, also her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hannaman; one sister, Mildred, and two brothers, Harrison and Cyril; besides a number of other relatives, all with whom we deeply sympathize. The funeral was held Saturday at St. Michael's church, Father Minogue officiating. Interment in the Catholic cemetery. May she rest in peace.
