Hannah Smith Eveleth was born at Bradford County, Pa., Feb. 21, 182_, and died at her home in Volga, Ia., July 7th, aged 85 years, 4 months and 16 days. She leaves an aged husband, one daughter at Battle Creek, Mich., two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers, besides other relatives and friends to mourn her departure. She has been a patient sufferer for fifteen years and bore her affliction without a word of complaint, but was often heard to say she was ready at any time to answer the call of Him who was her guide at all times. She united with the Seven Day Advent church fifty years ago and has been a firm believer of that faith ever since. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Jennings, of Volga, and the remains were laid to rest in the Volga cemetery.
