A Tribute.
One of our good friends, reading of the death of Mrs. Lucy Bannister recently, writes us as follows:
"In reading of the death of Mrs. Bannister at the Insane Hospital, it was with feelings of sadness, for we had known her in her home, mingled with her children and heard her kind words of council. Naturally refined she abhorred anything rough and lived a good Christian, teaching in the Elkader Sunday school and attending the prayer meetings. But gradually the insidious disease overcame her, robbing her life of all that was beautiful and the home of a kind and good mother. We could not let her death pass by without speaking of her as she once was. Some day we will understand these terrible mysteries."
