Mrs. Hattie Huebner, daughter of Christian and Elizabeth Miller, was born October 15, 1822, at Kleinherbach, Bavaria. After her school years she remained in the home of her parents until the year 1854, when she emigrated to America. Soon after coming to this country she was united in marriage to John Huebner. To this union four children were born, two sons and two daughters. One son and one daughter preceded her in death. In 1856 she came with her husband to St. Sebald and settled on a farm, where they remained until 1905. Her husband preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 1906, and since that time she has lived with her children, the past few years making her home with her son John. She died May 16, 1913, of old age, being 90 years, 7 months and one day at the time of her demise. She leaves to mourn her loss one son John, living north of town; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Eckhoff, of Twin Lakes, Minn.; one brother, Franz; thirteen grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. Services were held at the St. Sebald church, conducted by Rev. Fuehr. Burial took place in the St. Sebald cemetery.
