Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 22 May 1913.

Cora Dell White, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carson White, was born Dec. 9th, 1882, near Osterdock, Ia. Here she grew to womanhood, assisting with home duties until Feb. 15th, 1902, when she was united in marriage to Frank A. Stone.

During her girlhood days she joined the United Brethren church and was a faithful member till the time of her death.

In March, 1912, Mr. Stone sold his business interests at Guttenberg, Ia., and, with his wife, came for a visit at the parental home, near Osterdock. Here on July 5th, 1912, the wife became ill and although everything medical help and an untiring and patient mother could do was of no avail and she gradually became weaker each day and passed away on Sunday, May 11th, 1913, at the age of 30 years, five months and two days.

She bore her sufferings bravely and patiently, eagerly looking forward to the time when she might repay all the loving acts of kindness that had been done for her.

She was a member of the M.B.A. lodge at Gutenberg. Her former pastor. Rev. Hursch, of Castalia, conducted the burial services, which took place at Bethel cemetery on Wednesday, May 14th, 1913.

The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Frank A Stone; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carson White; two sisters, Mrs. Sam Mallory, of Osterdock, and Mrs. Joe Robathes, of Dubuque; one brother, Harry, besides other relatives and a host of friends.

The pall bearers were: Clarence Borcherding, Tommy Cassutt, Freddie Barton, Jack Luther, Henry Palmer and John Moser.
