He was married to Nora McQuillen, of Harlan, Iowa, in 1881, and has since resided in South Omaha, where he was engaged in the grocery business. He had been in poor health for the past year and went to Dakota in hopes of benefit, but had been there but three weeks when he died.

The funeral was held Thursday April 28th, from St. Mary's church in South Omaha, and was attended by a large number of sympathizing friends. May he rest in peace.

~Elkader Register, Thursday, May 5, 1904

Note: He may be buried in St. Mary's Catholic cemetery, Omaha, Nebraska
