SCHOEPF, HAGER, DONLON, HEIDEN

David Schoepf died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. F. L. Heiden, in this city, on Friday, March 14th, 1913, after only a few days illness, aged 79 years, 10 months and 20 days.

Deceased was born in Bavaria on April24th, 1833, where he learned the shoemakers trade in his boyhood days and later, in 1860, was united in marriage to Margaretha Hager. In 1869 they moved to this country and settled in Clayton County on a farm in Boardman township, where he resided until 1910, since which time he has been making his home with his daughters.

Mr. and Mrs. Schoepf were the parents of seven children, of which two died in infancy, their son John, in 1906, and a daughter, Mrs. Wm. Donlon, in 1911, and those left to mourn his decease are M. J., of Forest City and Mrs. F. L. Heiden and Charles, of this city, Mrs. Schoepf having preceded her husband to the great beyond in 1901. He leaves, besides the two sons and daughter, a brother in the old country, fifteen grandchildren and many friends, who will greatly miss him.

Funeral services were held last Sunday afternoon at the Heiden home and also at the German church, Rev. C. H. Franke officiating. Interment in the East Side cemetery.
