During the past week one of the oldest citizens of this vicinity, a resident of Giard township, passed away. Grandma Wiethorn died at the home of her son Henry, Saturday night, aged 92 years.

(Note: An apparent reference to Louisa C. Wiethorn, 1821 - 5 Jan. 1913, shown in WPA records as buried in Council Hill cemetery.)
