Celia Schrunk was born in Germany Oct. 4, 1840. She came to America in 1858 and then to Clayton County, where she has lived the greater part of her life. In 1865 she was united in marriage of Joseph Shrunk. To this union twelve children were born, of which six are living: Floyd Schrunk and Mrs. Josie Moser, of Osterdock; Hubbard, of Marshalltown, Minn.; Wille, of Brownsville, Oregon; and Stella and Ella Bottles, of Waseca, Minn. She is also survived by one brother and two sisters; Francis Schrunk, of Nebraska; Mrs. Stabler, of New Vienna; and Mrs. Washinger, of Mankato, Minn. Three weeks ago she was taken seriously ill at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Moser, and died Aug. 14th, 1907, of paralysis, at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 10 days. She was a true wife and a loving mother, and was honored by all who knew her. Interment was in the Friedlein cemetery.
