Elizabeth Lowe was born in Carroll Co., Ohio, June 30, 1838, and with her parents came to Clayton Co., Iowa, in 1847. She was united in marriage to Benjamin Jellings in August, 1857, and to this union eight children were born, three girls and five boys. Two of the children, a boy and a girl, have preceded her to the other side. Mrs. Jellings joined the Volga M.E. church Sept 6, 1895, and remained a member till the end of life. She died Aug. 8th, 1907, aged 69 years, 1 month and 8 days.
